I currently reside in North Carolina with my patient and supportive family while I juggle my writing career and position as a programmer analyst. In my early years, I wrote folk songs, poetry, and an occasional short story or two, but never dreamed of writing a book. I didn't even like to read! But one fateful day, I picked up a romance novel and found myself hooked. Not only did I discover the joy of reading, but the joy of writing books. These days, if I'm not tapping away at mt computer on a story of my own, I have my nose buried in the latest romance novel hot off the presses, and am enjoying every minute of it.
Since embarking on my writing career, I have received honorable mention for both my short story entitled The Windshield in the 2001 Writer's Digest Short Story Contest and for my paranormal manuscript, Chaste Kiss, in the 2002 Southern Heat Contest hosted by the East Texas Chapter of Romance Writer's of America. I have also been awarded second place in the Utah Chapter of RWA's 2002 Great Beginnings Writer's Contest for my contemporary romance, Roller Coaster of Love. My contemporary romance, Hidden Curves, received the Reviewer's Award from The Road To Romance in 2005.
While writing is my passion, I'm an avid crafter as well. I paint, knit, crochet, weave, sew, and am learning to quilt. As you might guess, I don't stay idle. Someday, I hope to take off my programmer's hat for good, and spend my days writing and crafting. But until then, I hope to continue creating stories in my spare time.
I love to hear from fans - send me a note!
